Art inspiration: My character started with a little girl as a hydrangea flower named “Polly”.
Like a Hydrangea, she’s strong amidst the delicate and softness of a petal, and blooms even in the rain. She’s the warmth beyond the rain.
I got the inspiration of my works by the story of Pollyanna which resonated with me. I think it also symbolizes who I am as an artist. Pollyanna is a character from a novel who looks at the positive things and sees the silver lining in every situation, even in the darkest moments.
I aim to evoke a sense of calm and serene atmosphere in my works. Through the innocent eyes and childlike appearance. Aiming to bring light and positivity to the viewers.
Style: Lowbrow / Contemporary Art
My character is often described as a girl with closed eyes covered in delicate petals with a soft glimmer or glow within.
Favourite Artists: I don’t have one favorite artist. I love seeing the works of artists that has the same nature as mine and try to connect with them. I am a big fan of the lowbrow /pop surreal artists in Thailand and Japan. Seeing their works and hearing their stories inspires me to push myself and continue to hone my craft as an artist.
Favourite piece you have worked on: My favorite piece are my latest works. My Latest Series which I am currently preparing for a Solo show in the Philippines this September 25.
