Debbie Reda

Art inspiration: I based my work in concepts like happiness, adventure, fantasy, innocence, and play. Also, I like to lean on my own memories of a happy childhood, my toys, my plays and the relation I used to have with my grandfather. (Who I think he was the one who made me the creative person I am today) And as I love comics and book children, I invented my own storytelling to show all these feelings. My characters are from other planet, and they arrived to planet transformed into children with the mission of remarking human beings the important details in life and remember how to be happy.

Style: Cartoonish visual style as a Childlike Neo-pop Art.

Favourite Artists: Cy Twombly

Favourite piece you have worked on: My favorite is a huge mural I made with chalk for Drawing Room Fair in Madrid in 2021. The same year I gave been selected to be part of the Noble Salon of the WWArt Fair in Shanghai placing her among the 40 trending international artists of the moment. In 2023 I had my first retrospective exhibition with a few works between 2017 and 2022 in a group show at Deji Art Museum in China.
