Art inspiration: I am inspired by myths, tales, and the natural environment.

In the modern society facing the global environmental crisis, I create works on the theme of harmony and coexistence between nature and humans.

The sea, which is a clue to solving the climate crisis. Half of such sea waste is waste net. Waste net remains in the sea, threatening the marine ecosystem, and the problem leads to problems for us, humans, and the Earth. It represents the process of seeking ways and creating new values by reinterpreting and recycling these waste nets into new forms. It imagines the possibility of a future in which nature and humans coexist and harmonize.

Among the stories of the goddess(Seolmundae Halmang) in Jeju, there is a story that she did laundry using Udo as a washboard while sitting on Hallasan Mountain. Here, 'laundry' can be interpreted as the meaning of 'purification'. This story tells the story of the goddess of the beginning who was asleep and attempts to 'purify' our natural environment. The goddess is a persona of nature. The goddess, who was deeply asleep in the sea, wakes up when part of her body is contaminated by humans and tries to purify it by washing her hair. It shows the goddess's willingness to newly purify nature and sends a message to open up new possibilities by acting together.
