Art inspiration: My art is deeply inspired by nature and my scientific background. Having studied biology and botany, I draw from the intricate details of natural forms, from single-celled organisms to entire ecosystems. This foundation allows me to abstract these forms, conveying concepts from my subconscious. Additionally, my grandmother’s creativity and the rich cultural heritage of Istanbul, where I was born, have significantly influenced my artistic vision.

Style: I create large-scale acrylic paintings characterized by vibrant colours and abstract forms. My work merges intellectual concepts with visual ideas, using bold colours to express feelings and blending real and imagined organic structures. This approach creates a dream-like world where nature meets fantasy.

Achievements:

  • Public Art Projects: I was one of seven leading artists whose designs were featured on giant fiberglass eggs for the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.

  • Charity Initiatives with public exhibition : My upcoming project, The Big Egg Hunt 2025, will take place between March 24th and April 27th. I am contributing an artwork titled “Garden of Joy,” inspired by Regent’s Park and Queen Elizabeth’s sequined dress from 1999. After the exhibition, the egg will be auctioned in May, by Royal Family’s charity Elephant Family with proceeds supporting the protection of endangered animals like elephants.

Favourite Artists: I am influenced by great artists such as Mondrian, Munch, Matisse, Hilma Af Klint, David Hockney and Kandinsky. I live and work in the house that Mondrian and Ben Nicholson used to work.

Favourite piece you have worked on: One of my favourite pieces is “Aspasia” an acrylic on canvas that reflects my fascination with women in history.

I have participated in various exhibitions, including collaborations with

  • Artdealersgaleria in Mexico,

  • Yudian Gallery China,

I’ve had many online collaborations around the world including contributions to

  • the Moi Aussi project in Barcelona,

Group exhibitions in Canada, Spain, France, Italy.

I also took part in the Combat Stress Secret Postcard Auction since 2021 supporting mental health services for veterans in the UK.

Future plans: I plan to continue expanding my artistic practice, exploring new ways to merge colour, emotion, and abstract forms. I am currently preparing for The Big Egg Hunt 2025, where my artwork Garden of Joy will be exhibited before being auctioned for wildlife conservation.

Beyond this, I aim to further develop my new series, pushing its themes of strength and nature into larger-scale works. I also intend to explore more public art projects and international exhibitions, bringing my bold, vibrant paintings to new audiences.

In addition I am always seeking innovative ways to express my fascination with cosmic phenomena, extreme time scales, and the mysteries of the universe. My travels will continue to inspire my work, shaping future pieces with the colours, landscapes, and cultures I encounter.
